The essence of the spatial examination of the chair is to analyze the norm of sitting and the design of the seating prostheses we know. How can we understand seating prostheses apart from norm and how can the act of sitting take place in the future or in differently normed environments? The three sculptural approaches to chairs were staged in a room installation in front of a projection. This shows a black mass that is constantly changing and seemingly assumes an infinite number of states of a seating prosthesis. In doing so, it not only refers to the uniqueness of a seating object in our norm - more precisely, the unadaptable form of a chair - but also provides new norms that lead the viewer to question the concept of the chair.
